Connecting to Christ in Worship

Our highest calling as followers of Christ is to bring glory and honor to our Lord. The last instructions Jesus left us as His followers, is known as the “Great Commission.” Connecting to Christ in worship at Gospel Light combines both of these important actions. We desire to connect to Christ as believers in worship to bring Him honor and glory and we purpose in our planning to have worship services become an entrance point, a connection point to Christ for those who may not know Him. Through warm and welcoming, Spirit filled believers pouring praise and prayer out to our King and a blended ministry of music in hymns, anthems, and praise songs seeking God as the audience, followers of Jesus demonstrate their connection in their relationship with their Savior. The worship does not climax here however, for the ministry of the powerfully preached Word of God goes forth allowing God’s message to be heard and responded to, so that Christ can be connected to the individual. Those who may not know Christ can be connected to Christ as Savior, and those who know Christ can connect to Him for biblical instruction and spiritual growth and both can connect to our church. Caring prayer encouragers are ready and available to listen, share biblical truths and pray with those desiring God’s touch in these services. Connecting to Christ in Kids Zone Children’s Church

Children are very important to us here at Gospel Light. Our programs are designed to connect young lives with Christ's love and teach children on their level how Christ can be their best friend. Our heartbeat is your child's safety and nurturing in the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore every worker and teacher has been trained, screened and has submitted a background check to ensure this safety and competence. Connection Point Sunday School classes and Kids Zone Children's Church meet at 9:45 am and 11:00 am on Sundays. Come see why we are connecting to Christ in Kids Zone!

Connecting to Christ in Awana

We have Awana on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:45 pm. Awana is a powerful, proven ministry for children where God's Word is memorized and taught in a fun and exciting way for kindergarten and elementary age children. Connecting to Christ in Aftershock Student Ministries

Aftershock Student Ministries here at Gospel Light brings plenty of opportunities for Christ-centered fellowship and fun with the intent of connecting students to Christ. God's word is brought to the students in a challenging and creative way so they can develop a personal relationship with the Saviour. Bible studies on Sunday and Wednesday provide Christ- honoring fun and growth. Camps and Retreats, along with monthly activities, provide a safe friendly atmosphere for students to build friendships and develop in their Spiritual walk with Jesus Christ.  Connecting to Christ in Adult Fellowship

Adult Fellowships and Ministries are vital to the strength of the individual family and to the church family as these help connect people to Christ. Gospel Light offers monthly fellowships and ministry with an impact for all Ladies, Seniors and Men as a tool to connect to Christ and others in the area of relationships. Activities, Outings and Retreats are planned to bring encouragement and strength through developing friendships and Biblical growth. Connecting to Others in Sunday School

We believe that connecting people to others through the ministry of the Word of God and small group relationships is one of the most important things our Church can do.

Both young and old are able to connect to others in a safe, encouraging, nurturing environment and watch their faith grow in grace and in the knowledge of God's word through this wonderful atmosphere of Christian fellowship and love. By design those who are connected to Christ in our services, are encouraged to get connected to others in Sunday school. We believe that here at this connection point, you see the Church organized to carry out the “Great Commission!” As people are connected to others, they then begin to see that their gifts and talents are needed in ministry to others. Connecting to Ministry in Music

We believe one of our highest callings as a follower of Jesus Christ is that of Worship! Music Ministry is a tremendous part of the Worship of our Lord which helps people to connect to Christ. We strive for a balanced approach in our worship services where music (a blend of hymns, anthems and praise & worship) comes together with drama, prayer and the powerful preaching of God's word. With the goal of helping people connect to Christ, talented people who have connected to ministry like the Soloist, Groups and Instrumentalists, all seek the audience of our Lord in the use of their talents and gifts and worship. A variety of styles and songs are used by Gospel Light's choir, and groups are invited in for God-Honoring concerts from time to time. Come worship with us this Sunday as we connect to Christ by connecting in this powerful form of ministry!

Connecting to Ministry through 25 Mission Families or Projects

We at Gospel Light believe in doing our part to fulfill the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:19, 20). Missionaries are invited frequently to challenge our hearts to reach out to people all over the world with the message of Christ. We currently support 25 missionaries and plan to add to our growing Missions Family. Every year we have a Faith Promise Missions Conference to do more in this connection of ministry in reaching our world. Mission trips add to the passion of connecting in ministry as we reach our world through the Biblical method of Missions.

Spanish Ministry

A part of connecting in ministry in the Missions Ministry here at Gospel Light can be seen in our Spanish Ministry. Reaching the Hispanic population in our area with the “Gospel” and developing this ministry into a self- supporting Baptist Church, allows us to do here what our missionaries are doing in other countries. Great opportunities to connect to ministry by reaching out to the Spanish population are available. Will we reach them while we can? Come connect to ministry with our Spanish friends!

Connecting to Ministry through Sports

Connecting to ministry comes in many different opportunities and ways. One of these connection points can be found in a developing Sports Ministry. God has blessed our church with facilities that are being developed to bring opportunities to our community in the area of T-ball, Little League, and Softball. Along with Baseball and Softball, Soccer leagues are being developed. Walking trails and picnic areas are in the planning stages as well. Connecting to Ministry through Transportation

Another ministry that the people of Gospel Light can connect to is in the area of transportation. Transportation is available to anyone who would like to come and connect to Christ. We have safe, reliable transportation that is available on a weekly basis. If you would like to come to church but need transportation, let us know and we will be glad to provide this help and service.
